I’m about to reveal a secret that most Email Marketers don’t know. In addition I will show you how you can really succeed as one. Most of all it’s all about understanding your list.
The problem is that 95% of Email Marketers are careless and inconsiderate.
I am being blunt because I was one of them.
If you fail to treat your List as a person…

Do not attempt to understand them (as an individual)
YOU WILL FAIL.
That is why, you need to ask for feedback and nurture your List. Ask them to participate so that you can send them better emails. One of the best way to find who the people on your list are, what issues they are facing, and how you can help them is:
Creating Polls and Surveys.
The problem that most Email Marketers have, is that, they rather send bunch of sales email and see if they can get someone to bite. Email Marketing isn’t fishing. It is building and nurturing. Relationships and solving their problems. Understand this and you can provide them what they actually NEED, not just “what they might want”.
Below, I have provided a tutorial for you to interact with your List and create polls for them to tell you what they want. How great is that!
Step One:
Go to Pollmaker
You can create your poll right then and there.
Step Two:
Enter your poll or survey. I am not going to provide you what you should put there.
One rule: Get to know your List.
Step Three:
Click on Email and then go to “Email emded code”
Step Four:
Go to your Sendlane account and create a campaign, autoresponder or workflow. Click on “Start From Scratch”
Step Five:
You will need to click on the content and click on (</>) tool and paste in your embedded code.
Step Six:
Once you have your poll, add your email and make sure you fine tune everything.
Step Seven:
You can go back to Pollmaker and see your results there.
If you want to provide content email based on your poll or use it for understanding your List. Feel free to use this tool to make your List appreciate you and give them better content.
