We all love to hear that bell ring – be it a cash register or a subscription notification on a smartphone. I recall when I was first starting out that I was craving for data which just wasn’t there yet. One thing that kept me going was that simple little “ping” from my smartphone. The wonderful noise of opt in notifications. It’s amazing how much you can learn from data as simple as a “ping.”
Ping! Ping! Ping!
Now the only real downside to that is once you really start getting a lot of traffic to your landing pages you will get a flood of notifications taking up your inbox. Not really a bad thing like I said, annoying in a good way. I recall being excited as I started to see the notifications rolling in but at a certain point I was filtering through all the notification just to see the actual emails I needed to reply to. Yeah, I finally set up a filter for them but the initial flood was distracting.
